Legal notices and disclaimers of liability

Canadian Scholarship Trust Plans are securities sold by prospectus only. This website provides general information for educational purposes and is not intended to provide specific financial advice. Not all relevant conditions and restrictions related to the Plans are included on the pages of this site. The prospectus contains important information concerning an investment in a Canadian Scholarship Trust Plan that you should read carefully before investing. Copies may be obtained through licensed sales representatives duly authorized by C.S.T. Savings Inc. to distribute the Plans.

References in this site to the Group Savings Plan refer to the CST Advantage Plan. Sales of the former Group Savings Plan were discontinued in 2001. There are some differences between the features of the CST Advantage Plan and the former Group Savings Plan. The terms and conditions of the CST Advantage Plan and the original series of the Group Savings Plan are identical, except that a contributor who enrolled in the original series of the Group Savings Plan is eligible to receive their entire enrolment fee refund when the first Education Assistance Payment (EAP) is paid to his or beneficiary. The two series also have different contribution schedules. Additional details can be found in the prospectus.

Information contained on this website should not be considered an offer to sell or a solicitation to buy an RESP in the United States or any other jurisdiction outside of Canada in which such an offer or solicitation is not authorized or to any person to whom it is unlawful to make such an offer or solicitation.

The actual amounts of EAPs cannot be predicted and the amount of an EAP will depend upon the amount of income earned on your contributions and other factors described in the prospectus. The amount of income earned on your investments may vary from year to year and past performance is not necessarily indicative of future performance.

You have a 60-day period to review all aspects of a Plan to ensure that you fully understand all its terms. If written notice of the termination of your Education Savings Plan Agreement has been received by C.S.T. Savings Inc. head office within 60 days of signing the application in respect of your Plan, all your contributions will be returned to you.

The Canadian Scholarship Trust Foundation and its subsidiaries, C.S.T. Savings Inc. and C.S.T. Spark Inc., operate under the master brand name CST. The terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to CST.
